Am Samstag verloren die U21 zu Hause gegen Laupen das zweite Spiel der Best of Three Serie mit 3:5. Und müssen nun am Freitag um 20 Uhr in Wald ZH zum Entscheidungsspiel antreten.

Beiden Teams war von Beginn weg die Nervosität anzusehen. Im Aufbau schlichen sich so vor allem bei den Sharks immer wieder Ungenauigkeiten ein. Laupen verhinderte dies indem es einfach öfters mit hohen Bällen durch die Mitte agierte. Diese waren vor allem am Anfang immer wieder gefährlich. Es war aber Nesslau welche als erstes jubeln durften. Dieser Treffer schien dem Team aber etwas zu viel vertrauen oder gar Erleichterung zu verleihen. Und in der 13. Minute erzielte Laupen ihr erstes Tor in dieser Serie. Und es sollte nicht das einzige bleiben. Zwei weitere folgten noch vor der Pause.

Das zweite Drittel war dann geprägt von Strafen auf beiden Seiten. Laupen erwischte es dabei gleich zweimal innerhalb von Sekunden. Diese doppelte Überzahl liessen sich die Toggenburger nicht entgehen und verkürzten auf 2:3. Von diesem Moment an waren die Gastgeber die spielbestimmende Mannschaft. Doch vorläuftig wollte der Ausgleich einfach nicht fallen.

An der Tatsache, dass nur noch ein Team spielte änderte sich auch im letzten Drittel nichts. Doch leider auch nicht daran, dass nichts zählbares dabei heraus schaute. Im Gegenteil, Laupen konnte die Führung in der 43. Minute wieder auf zwei Tore ausbauen. Immerhin konnte gut 10 Minuten vor dem Ende auf 3:4 verkürzt werden. Zu mehr reichte es in der Schlussoffensive nicht mehr. Das fünfte Tor von Laupen, zwei Minuten vor dem Ende, sorgte dann für die Entscheidung.
